I originally replied saying I couldn't get it to work at all, and now it's making a fool of me. Other than this, my Mac works so much smoother and faster with MC than my previous Windows laptops did. I would imagine the same to be true for Mac, but given that MacOS and desktop Linux use completely different audio subsystems, it is possible that your experience may differ.Ĭheers Chris, good to know someone else using WINE! Yes, I have the same issue with the VST plugins causing a freeze on Mac - but I'm so used to it now that working around it isn't a major issue for me. Now to the original question: I have found under Linux that all my MIDI devices appear and are available to Mixcraft. I am curious if this happens on Mac as well. ![]() The biggest bug for me is that unloading some VST instruments can lead to a Mixcraft freeze. There are some bugs, as the OP mentioned ( more info here) but once you know how to work around them, the performance is actually quite good (for the 32-bit version of Mixcraft anyway-64 bit runs a bit slow). ![]() Acoustica Chris wrote:I'm the resident Linux guy at Acoustica, and I have a lot of experience using Mixcraft through WINE.
